A WORCESTER man broke into his ex-partner's house while drunk and stole money from her television cash box.
Paul McCartney took £30 cash, as well as two £5 Jubilee coins, from the house in Thistle Close on Saturday, June 1, Worcester Magistrates Court heard yesterday.
Suzanne Llewellyn, prosecuting, said the alarm was raised when McCartney, of Barnes Way, telephoned his ex-partner.
"She had a telephone call from the defendant who was drunk, and it was clear he was in her house," she said.
"He then admitted being in the house, and she called the police.
McCartney, aged 39, admitted a count of burglary. Peter Jackson, defending, said McCartney had a real problem with alcohol.
Magistrates adjourned the hearing for pre-sentence reports. McCartney is next due in court on Monday, July 8.
