A "Find the Frog Names Hunt" will be a feature of Defford Open Gardens weekend on Saturday and Sunday, June 29 and 30.
"Defford is a very small village and this is a new venture to raise much-needed funds for repairs to both our church and village hall by a group of keen gardeners," said co-ordinator Hazel Wakefield.
Gardens will be open from 11am to 5pm each day and admission costs £2 (£5 family, 50p child).
The weekend will include strawberries and cream, children's treasure hunt, beekeeping, plant sales, second hand books, tombola, organic gardening, mini putting and croquet.
