HEADLESS Cross speedster Stefan Hodgetts is hoping to save his Formula 3 season by offering sponsors a package they cannot refuse.
Funding problems have affected Hodgett's chances of securing a regular ride offered by his Team Park F3 stable this season.
And the talented youngster is now training his sights on an F3 invitation event being held in front of an expected 60,000 crowd at Silverstone.
The race is a support event for the British Grand Prix and will be held on the same day as qualifying on Saturday, July 6.
Hodgetts needs to raise between £3,000 and £5,000 to compete in front of the Formula 1 teams and wants the chance to put himself in the shop window.
Hodgetts hopes the event will be a springboard for sponsorhip to compete in the F3 season, for which he initially needs around £20,000.
