TWO Bromsgrove cyclists have helped deliver more success for Bromsgrove Olympique Cycling Club.
Seven-year-old and 14-year-old Jason and Ross Dingley, of Fordhouse Road, both picked up medals during a hectic weekend of action for riders.
Last Sunday, seven-year-old Jason excelled at the regional final of the British Cycling Challenge 2002.
In the school year two boys' event, he won the skills and time trial, which earned him the gold medal and a brand new Raleigh mountain bike for his efforts.
His mother, Trudy, said: "He was absolutely fantastic. He is following in the footsteps of his big brother."
Sunday also saw success for Olympique's Craig Talbot, who fought off tough competition to take the bronze medal in the years three, four and five event.
But that was not the Dingley brothers' only triumph as both had top three finishes in races at Halesowen last Friday.
Talbot also took a first and two second places while Alex Billington sprinted to a second place before adding sixth place in a 30-lap race.
Then, at West Park, Wolverhampton, on Saturday, Jason Dingley secured third spot in the U12s while Ross went one better with second place in the U14s.
Genny Billington finished third in her race and Matt Lee lost the U16s by a bike length from Wolverhampton's Stuart Jones with Alex Billington in third.
This weekend sees riders competing at the British Cycling National MTB Championships at Ludlow while others head for the British Schools National Grass Track Championships at York.
