REDDITCH MP Jacqui Smith officially opened a £2.5 million care home in Headless Cross on Friday.
Ms Smith unveiled a plaque commemorating the opening of Brambles Residential Care Home, Birchfield Road.
The home has been built by Heart of England Housing and Care Ltd, an organisation that owns and operates 10 residential care homes across Worcestershire.
Brambles, one of the most up-to-date homes in the country, has 60 ensuite rooms and a range of special bathrooms featuring modern equipment to help with assisted and therapeutic bathing.
It is also the second home to be completed as part of an £18 million, five-year investment programme.
