RUN-down houses in Abbeydale look set to be torn down and replaced with new homes.
Redditch executive committee members will tonight debate the future of prefabricated homes in Dolphin Road which were built as temporary housing during the war.
Mr Cartwright said it would cost the council more than £1 million to upgrade the homes to a modern standard.
If it is agreed to knock down the homes, a housing association will be drafted in to build the properties in a joint scheme with the council.
