WORCESTER Grass Track Club hold the Worcestershire Winner meeting on Sunday at Offerton Farm, Hindlip, adjacent to junction 6 of the M5.

The practice starts at 11.30am with tapes up at 1pm.

Good prize money has been put up and the club are happy with an excellent entry with competitors coming from as far afield as Guernsey.

Broadheath sidecar star Chris Salisbury and passenger Gary Hughes of Tewkesbury, who on their ultra quick RTS Jawa will be contesting in Europe later in the year, bid to keep their 100 per cent final record intact having won the first event in March.

Competition in the 500 sidecar class will come from Malvern's Tony Starke and the Dorset crews of Mike and Wayne Read.

For the first time at Worcester for over 20 years, 1000cc sidecars make up part of the programme with Birm-ingham's Matt Fumerola, Rod Winterburn from Keighley and the McAuley brothers from Newton Abbot sure to be among the forerunners.

The solo entry is high in quality with Cumbrian Jason Handley, Stoke speedway star Tony Atkin, York's Paul Cooper and fellow North-erner Jon Roberts being some of the top men.

Locals to add spice to the event include Simon Gitt-ings, Pete Newman, Alan Doughty, Hadrian Garner, Mike Gosling and ex-European championship veteran, Gerald Short.

It is also hoped that Bish-ampton's Ryan Tolley can have his motors ready in time for his first meeting back aft-er injury.

Adult entry is £5 with concessions at £3 for OAP's and children over 12.

Children under 12 get in for free.

Saturday night camping is available and there will be a bar and barbecue.

Clean flush toilets are on site all weekend and race day includes trackside parking.
