THE lives of our Scandinavian ancestors have been brought to life in classrooms at Charford.
History expert Professor McGinty spent two days at Charford First School helping year three and four pupils with their Vikings topic.
Artefacts, photos, weapons, costumes and humourous tales helped him bring the subject to life.
Year four teacher Mel Henderson said: "Professor McGinty switched the kids onto history and I think they all thoroughly enjoyed his workshops."
The Viking sea warriors raided Europe in the 8th to 11th centuries and many had settlements in Britain.
