ON your bike - that's the eco-friendly message from councillors and officers in Bromsgrove who were staging a Bike2Work Day today (Wednesday).
The campaigners are hoping to set an example in a bid to free the town of congestion and pollution.
"We know some people need their cars but using an alternative means of travel just once a month would make a difference," said Bromsgrove District Council leader Dennis Norton (Con - Norton).
To keep the campaign going all year, the council has a pool of bikes for staff to use on local journeys.
"We hope as many people as possible will use their bikes whenever they can," said assistant environmental strategy officer Richard Johnson.
