CITY supports Tesco - not its residents.
Despite 276 objections to the application by Tesco to open 24 hours a day in St Peter's, our wonderful democratic listening city council has chosen to ignore the people and support Tesco.
Perhaps they should fly a white flag over the Guildhall. At least then they would be honest.
St Peter's is a residential estate, not a retail park. If Tesco wishes to trade 24 hours then they should move and trade elsewhere.
It's worth noting that those who voted in favour of 24-hour trading do not live in St Peter's and it appears Councillor Jo Hodges really doesn't care.
