NEW College was one of the venues that provided free taster sessions on a range of subjects this month.
Bite Size Intros was a nationwide initiative run by the Learning and Skills Council which aimed to give people over 16 from all walks of life a "no-risk" taste for learning.
Courses lasted from one to two hours and included computer maintenance, astrology, flower arranging and public speaking.
It was hoped the courses, which began on May 21 and run until Friday, would give people the confidence to carry on learning and go on to do another course.
They are also designed for participants to meet new people and try something totally new.
