A 14-year-old boy suffered cuts and bruises after he was attacked by two youths in Headless Cross.
Redditch police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at Southcrest Woods, close to the Bromsgrove Highway at about 8pm on June 11.
The teenager was in the woods with two friends the same age when he was attacked by two youths who are described as Asian and about 16-18. One was wearing a baseball cap.
It is believed they were on top of the boat house in the woods before the incident.
The victim was punched and kicked to the head and body.
He was treated at the Alexandra Hospital and discharged.
He managed to make his way home with his friends and the police were called but officers have yet to establish a motive for the attack and inquiries are continuing.
