COLOURFUL masterpieces were on show last week when town dignitaries judged this year's Droitwich Spa in Bloom painting competition.
More than 100 artistic youngsters took part in the annual event, which this year was entitled A Season in Bloom.
All of the town's schools were invited to enter paintings into the competition which saw an array of colours being used.
The contest was judged by a group of people, mainly town councillors, who said they found it very difficult to chose the winners.
Judges
There were three age groups and winning children came from Chawson First School, St Peter's (CE) First School, Whitford Hall and Dodderhill School and Witton Middle School.
Town councillor Glenise Noyes (Con - Droit.South), who was one of the judges, said: "There was a record number of entries this year which was particularly pleasing and the standard was very high again which made our job very difficult."
