THE town's annual street market once again proved extremely popular as thousands of people visited the Victorian themed event.
Queen Victoria, superbly portrayed by Valerie Knowles, officially opened proceedings.
Among people taking part were representatives from Alcester in Bloom, Macmillan Cancer Relief, Alcester Scouts and Guides and Alcester's WI market selling items including plants, preserves, toys, books and jewellery.
Visitors could also hear the beautiful music of Alcester Victoria Silver Band, the male voice choir and the town's ladies' choir.
There were also many competitions.
