Our July meeting took the form of a series of demonstrations by some of the members with the open invitation to all the members and visitors to join in or to discuss the techniques being used.
These included water colour, pastel and pencil techniques and subjects included portraiture landscapes and still life.
Members also brought along finished examples of their work for display and discussion. The result was a very informal evening with plenty of circulation and interaction between the demonstrators and the other members.
This format has been used in previous years and was very successful.
The next meeting will be at 7.30pm on Wednesday, July 3, at St Luke's Memorial Hall, Headless Cross.
The speaker will be Roger Forbes, who will be painting a landscape in pastel.
