TRIBUTES have been paid to a popular town centre street cleaner who died after collapsing on his way to work on Monday morning.
Roy Robert Cook, 43, was found by two members of the public in Beoley Road West, St George's.
Mr Cook, of Arrow Road South, had worked for Redditch Council since 1982 and for Redditch Development Corporation before that.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner and are treating the death as unexplained.
A post mortem is being carried out today.
