WE have noticed Redditch Council is considering the proposed construction of an 11m Hutchinson 3G telecommunications Mast in Windmill Drive.
The mast, which is known to give off RF radiation, is ironically adjacent to the convergence of three footpaths designated Safe Routes To School by the council.
It is also just 30m from the Vaynor/Walkwood School playing fields.
Rather cunningly, neither of these facts appear on the plans submitted.
The planning committee needs to be informed along with the public that if this application were to succeed, not only would our council and planning committee be guilty of crass negligence, but it would also expose very young children to the health risk associated with these masts.
Again, rather cunningly, the majority of houses in this area have been left off the plan to give the impression of a low populace.
I strongly advise anyone with an opinion toward whether we should expose children and parents to radiation risks and future possibility of cancers, writes to Mrs Sharon Williams, Council Planning Department, quoting reference 2002/245 before June 26.
