A CHANCE meeting at a youth club sealed the future of an Inkberrow couple who celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last Thursday.
James Greatbatch, 71, met Marjorie, 73, when he was 14 and married her at St Chad's Church in Wolverhampton seven years later.
Mr Greatbatch was a pattern maker and his wife was a nurse at a Salisbury hospice.
The couple have two sons. They moved to live with one son and his wife in Inkberrow in 1995.
Their other son is a priest living in Cornwall.
The couple celebrated their anniversary in the Bull's Head, Inkberrow.
