BARNT Green CC First XI have a regional final of the national club championship to look forward to after a seven-wicket victory against Knowle and Dorridge last Sunday.
Green managed to restrict Knowle and Dorridge to 133-8 from 45 overs. Haynes the pick of the bowlers, taking 4-19.
Barnt Green needed just 30 overs of their own to comfortably reach their target with Hall (58) and Dallaway (35) the top scorers.
The club now faces Walsall in the regional final on Sunday, June 30.
It was the first of two good results for the club at the weekend, following Barnt Green's six-wicket home victory over Wolverhampton last Saturday.
In the Birmingham and District Premier League premier division encounter, Wolverhampton batted their way to 210-4 from 55 overs thanks largely to Gavin Franklin's 82 not out.
But in reply, Green looked just as deadly, with Hall (80), Illingworth (49) and Haynes (35) seeing them home in 49.3 overs.
Captain Lyndon Jones was understandably delighted at securing 20 league points and securing a regional final place.
He said: "I am very relieved to get two good results this weekend. Our batsmen are playing with more confidence now and hopefully we can take this on during the next few weeks."
