CHILDREN from a Worcestershire school are determined not to waste any time in tackling the growing rubbish problem.
Youngsters from Kidderminster's St John's Church of England First School joined forces with Severn Waste and Welcome to our Future - the charity promoting sustainable living - to launch the Rethink Rubbish campaign.
The initiative, launched at Throckmorton's Hill and Moor landfill site, promotes the importance of re-using and recycling.
Sue Fyleman, of Welcome to our Future, said 373,000 tonnes of rubbish was generated in the two counties every year, and the amount was growing.
