ANDY Tinsley's impressive Superstocks season continued with a top six finish at Brands Hatch.
The Tin Man returned his second best performance of the season on a new bike, supplied by Knotts Motorcycles and Redditch firm Buildbase.
The Astwood Bank ace slumped to tenth on a bad first lap but recovered to sixth, the position he started at on the grid.
Tinsley sat fifth on the final lap but almost hit a back marker and managed to avoid leaving the track to hang on to sixth.
The result saw Tinsley clamber to sixth in the championship, the position he claimed in his best season in 2000.
And he is already eyeing up a top five finish.
"I Just want to carry on picking up championship points and finish in the top five," he said.
"It would be nice to get a podium finish at some stage and I want another good finish at Rockingham at the weekend."
Tinsley is just five points adrift of the fifth placed rider in the series.
