MINUTES of the meeting of the parish council.
Highways: Although white lines had been retouched around the village, it was felt the work of patching Church and Salter's Lanes and the omission of white lines in certain sections were not within the remit of local government ''Best Value''. The clerk is to contact the head of highways at WCC and arrange for an onsite meeting.
Planning Applications: Severn Waste Services has given notification of a future planning application to increase the tonnage of waste from the current 356,000 tonnes to 400,000 tonnes. Severn Waste state that should this increase become acceptable through the planning process, the company will offer an undertaking to construct a link road from the bypass to the new facility.
Golden Jubilee Celebrations : The Parish Council expressed their thanks for the hard work put in by the Golden Jubilee Working Group, led by Mrs V.Lampard and Cllr Lampard, and resulting in a very successful Hill & Moor Celebration. The Clerk to write in appreciation.
Wyre Piddle & Upper Moor Bypass: The Parish Council noted the WCC Cabinet decision taken to close the road east of Wyre Piddle at the bridge. Councillors are to consider an appeal.
The next meeting will be held on July 4.
