MOTORSPORT: Arley's Ross Danby dropped just 15 marks on his way to a best performance award in Bewdley Motor Cycle Club's trial near Button Oak on Sunday.

The schoolboy is making a habit of beating the adults, the best being Steve Clift who dropped 24 marks in the event which was in aid of the Air Ambulance service.

Kidderminster's Kevin Taylor dropped 26 marks to win best intermediate and Cookley's Les Powderhill took best over-40, dropping 45 marks.

Mark Turner, of Bewdley, tied with Melvin Whitlaw for best clubman on 56 lost.

At the Three Counties Show, the final event of the three days was a motorcycle grass track meeting.

Gerald Short just qualified for the big money final but when the tapes went up, the former European champion leapt into the lead and left everyone else behind.
