GYMNASTICS: The U-13s team from Wyre Forest Gymnastics School took bronze at the West Midland Recreational Team Floor and Vault competition at King Edwards Sports Centre, Lichfield.
Katie Crook, Hannah Donnelly, Alice Elderton, Staci Marshall, Georgina Upton and Afton James finished with a team score of 65.55 with each performing two vaults and a floor routine to music.
The over-13 boys joined with Worcester Boys Gym Club as Leigh Harrison and Dean Sinnett helped the city team to a silver medal with a total of 67.15.
Although scoring higher in the vault section, they were slightly out-classed in the tumbling section.
The U-11 A team of Alexandra Bennett, Charlotte Millington, Alex Perry, Tamara Smith, Jodie Brittain and Julia Sloan finished seventh with 66.3.
The Bs, comprising Jessica Atkinson, Amy Wright, Charlotte Stevens and Charlotte Taylor, were 11th with 62.85.
The school is holding summer school gymnastic courses at Harry Cheshire Community High School for all ages and abilities.
