ROWING: Bewdley Rowing Club took two gold and two silver medals at the National Veteran Championships at Nottingham's National Water Sports Centre.
The women's veteran C coxed four of Jo Atkinson, Theresa Roberts, Maggie Jameson and Liz Killick, coxed by Mel Hinton, picked up the gold convincingly over four other crews.
The same four rowers, in a coxless veteran B four, grabbed their second gold of the day, triumphing by six seconds.
John and Chris Hinton took silver in the veteran B coxless pairs against nine other crews.
It was a close finish as an Irish pair won the gold by just one second.
The women's veteran B eight of Atkinson, Roberts, Jameson, Killick, M Hinton, Emma Hinton, Lindsey Akres and Rhian Pritchard took the second silver, with an experienced Tideway Scullers eight just managing to pip them at the post.
Lewis Beech added another junior 14 single sculls win to his season's total at Loughborough Regatta.
There were also wins at Stratford Regatta for the women's senior 2 four of M and E Hinton, Jane Holland and Sue Lewis, coxed by Rachel Roberts.
They dominated the race against a strong Warwick team.
The men's novice four, which included Pete Thompson, Jason Carpenter and Ben Bevan coxed by Charlotte Beswick, fell behind by a boat length, then powered through to win by half a length.
