FOUR homes have been without water as summer finally arrives in Wyre Forest.
The houses in Lickhill Road, Stourport, have been cut off from the mains water supply since Saturday. Twelve people are affected, including three elderly people.
It happened when a builder cut off a pipe to a house in the street to do some repairs to a property. The pipe was reconnected to the house but the four others remain dry.
A spokeswoman for Severn Trent Water said the stretch of pipe - which runs off the mains supply - was private and not their responsibility. She added: "We are helping as much as we can by getting bottled water to residents. But if we are asked to step in and repair it we will have to charge for it."
