WITH two rival planning applications for a cinema in Kidderminster it may look as if we are inevitably going to get one of them.
Unfortunately, real life is seldom that simple. In reality there are still many complex and controversial commercial and planning issues to be resolved.
What is absolutely essential is that the council does not lose its nerve and ensures we come out of this with a viable and flourishing cinema.
This is certainly the very best opportunity we are ever likely to have to get a cinema into the area.
Now is the time for everyone who wants to see a cinema to make their voice heard and get the message across.
Copies of our petition, which calls on the council to "Ensure that Kidderminster gets a state-of-the-art multi-screen cinema without council financial subsidy and without any further delay" can be obtained by phoning 01562 823911.
