A MINIBUS burst into flames and blocked the road through Wyre Piddle shortly after 5pm on Tuesday.
The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, escaped unhurt from the VW minibus which was totally destroyed.
Stuart Huntley, who lives in nearby Pear Tree Cottage and took this dramatic picture, was sitting in his house when he heard a noise outside. "I wondered what the commotion was," he explained. "I went outside and found the minibus on fire and the flames quickly spread through it from the engine compartment at the rear. It was quite spectacular."
A crew from Pershore Fire Station led by Sub Officer Chris Parsons attended. He said: "One house nearby was threatened at the height of the blaze but we found the only damage was to the plastic red, white and blue plastic bunting.
