The group helped with the jubilee party on the Millennium Green.
Val Butterfield held a "Marie Curie Tea Party" which raised £100.
The June members' meeting, began with president Doreen Chatwin planting a yellow magnolia to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Joan Peck demonstrated flower arrangements, followed by Catherine Clarke's display of hats. After having problems in finding the right hat for a special occasion, she decided to start hiring them out and now has over 300.
Diane Jones then showed some of the antique curios discovered when visiting the battlefields of France.
The drama group entertained with a sketch called The Jubilee Flowers, written by June Gordon and Doreen.
The next meeting is on July 10 when Brian Draper will ask What is a River? This is an open meeting, when members can bring friends.
