David Quigley's recital at the library was attended by a capacity audience but unfortunately society president Beryl Chempin was unable to attend.
David began with two sonatas by Antonio Soler, then Six Bagatelles by Beethoven, and Liszt's concert paraphrases of Isolde's Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde, and the Quartet from Rigoletto.
Robert Schumann's Papillons came next, then three items by Debussy, from Images book two.
Three Rachmaninov Preludes ended the programme, with an encore of Pulchinello by Villa-Lobos.
Tomorrow, Michael Dunn will present a programme of recordings entitled Michael's Musical Miscellany II. The programme, at Holy Innocents Hall, Kidderminster, will start at 7.30pm, and non members will be welcome. There is a nominal admission fee, to include interval tea/coffee. Contact Von Stewart for further details on 01562 755990.
