The June meeting began with a toast to HM The Queen on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee.
Area demonstrator Janine Hall of Sutton Coldfield created exhibits under the title Mary, Mary, which included arrangements called Mary Rose, Mary Queen of Scots, and Mary, Mary Quite Contrary.
A variety of flowers and foliage were used, including arum leaves, box, ferns, hostas, aspidistra leaves, sunflowers, lilies, stocks, rhododendrons, carnations, chrysanthemums and singapore orchids.
The competitions for all classes were entitled Under the Influence.
E Collins won the Open class with M Carter and C Howell joint second.
The next meeting will be on July 3 when Sandra Snell will depict Aladdin's Cave, at 7.30pm in St Mary's Chantry.
