STEVE Wood has been crowned club champion at Evesham after comfortably seeing off the rest of the 48-strong field.
The annual event, that also incorporated the Frank Swan Trophy, was played over 36 holes in war, but breezy conditions.
Wood carded a brilliant gross 70 in the morning round and followed up with a 79 after lunch to win by six strokes from Robin Locke.
The new champion doubled up by also winning the Frank Swan Trophy with a net score of 139 to edge out Chris Walker who was second on a countback.
R Diffin and Broadway's J New-bury were the winners of the Seniors Invitation Day, a betterball competition played off handicap.
The club's A team halved their match against a strong Kidderminster side 3-3 when Lloyd Stephens and Alan Askew, Brian Haines and Brian Campbell and Rob Smith and John Duval teamed to record victories.

The Jubilee Lady Captain's Triads competition culminated in a Jubilee Dinner when the prizes were presented to the winning trio of Ann Cow-ley, Nona Jenkins and Ruth Masters.
The section's Droitwich League team maintained its winning streak with a third successive win.
