THERE has been much discussion and debate on the subject of the proposed site for the housing of asylum seekers at Throckmorton.
For some weeks now, your newspaper has published numerous letters regarding this sensitive issue. Indeed, several local MPs have voiced their views on this controversial proposal.
It is, however, interesting to note that City MP Michael Foster (above) appears not to want to voice an opinion on this matter.
Well, sorry Mr Foster, but that is just not good enough. You were quick to poke your nose into rural issues over the hunting issue rather than represent your city constituents' best interests.
Now it is time for you to come off the fence and let us know exactly where you stand on the issue of housing the asylum seekers at Throckmorton.
The question to Mr Foster is quite simple. Do you support the Government's initiative to house asylum seekers at Throckmorton - or do you oppose it?
In other words, do you support the government or do you oppose it on this issue?
I am sure that the great majority of readers of this newspaper will wait with bated breath to hear what Labour HQ tell you to say.
TIM PINNEY,
Peopleton, Pershore.
