ALCESTER was transported back to days of old on Sunday afternoon when a Victorian-themed market filled the streets.
Many residents came out in Victorian costumes, giving visitors the event a chance to spot everyone from lords and ladies to chimney sweeps.
And the whole town was on its best behaviour at the official opening when Queen Victoria, aka Valerie Knowles, performed the honours.
Not only did the event give young and old a chance to have fun but it also provided a great fund-raising opportunity.
As well as an abundance of stalls, there were numerous activities to keep youngsters amused, including mini-tennis, a coconut shy, an inflatable slide next to the town hall and a number of fairground rides and competitions.
