KIRSTY Law, aged 14, from Drakes Broughton, has joined the race for a place in the final of the 2002 Daily Telegraph/Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Junior Golf Champio-nship.
She shot an 82 to win her qualifying round at Kidder-minster and must now wait in anticipation until early Septe-mber to discover whether she has earned a place in the final.
The 21 finalists competing over 54 holes for this year's title will tee it up on October 29, 30, 31 at the fantastic resort of Sun City, South Africa - home of the Nedbank Golf Challenge (formerly known as the Million Dollar).
Each qualifying competition winner joins a national leaderboard with the best gross scores booking their place in the sun.
Finalists will compete for the chance to join previous winners such as Andrew Coltart, Mhairi Mckay and Justin Rose on the roll of honour for this prestigious title.
With over 38,000 competitors in 2001, The Daily Telegraph/Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Junior Golf Cham-pionship continues to be one of the most important driving forces in British junior golf.
