WELFORD secured a trio of wins including progress in the Lincoln Fours national competition.

Kineton were the opposition and they conceded the tie early because of the weather.

The rink of Mario Rosso, Len Whitehouse, Mick Hawkins and Simon Davies were leading 14-3 after eight ends, while Peter Day, Richard Groom and Martin and Andrew Smith led 14-7 after ten ends of their match.

Locally, Welford overcame Stratford Town by 16 shots with skip Davies leading the way with a 27-10 rink triumph.

They then completed a hat-trick of wins when overcoming Cirencester by eight shots with the top rink, skipped n this occasion by Day, winning 27-14.
