A WOMAN was physically and sexually assaulted in an attack in a Hereford underpass.
The woman was walking from the back of the Sainsbury's car park through The Lines towards the Hunderton area.
As she was walking through the Barton Road underpass a man grabbed her from behind and sexually assaulted her.
The incident happened at about 10.15pm on Monday, June 17.
After the incident the man, described as white, 5ft 9ins to 6ft tall, crossed the Lines bridge and walked off towards Hunderton.
He was of medium build and in his 30s, wearing a blue cap with NY written on it, blue Adidas track suit bottoms with three white stripes and a dark coloured fleece hooded top and trainers.
Police believe there were people in area during the attack and ask anyone who witnessed the assault to contact them.
