I AM pleased that Mr Bateman expressed his opinion regarding a proposed link between the Hereford and Worcester Roads, Ledbury (Your Letters, June 7).
However, I am sorry he feels that there is a need to "lie down in front of an excavator" in order to convey his views.
It is my intention to have this issue placed on the agenda of the next Ledbury District Liaison Group meeting on September 18. So please, no extreme actions just come along and have your say on this very important matter. Indeed, I welcome the views of all the people of Ledbury regarding this important issue.
I believe we have to live with the motor vehicle and its side effects for the foreseeable future. Therefore, it seems sensible to assess the possible problems and take steps to tackle them now, rather than wait for the nettle to sting, possibly resulting in a further ten year delay before implementing a cure.
