PLANS for a new headquarters for Malvern Hills District Council are due to be discussed next month.
The council's executive committee, meeting on Tuesday (July 16), will look at submissions from consultants.
The proposed move follows a strategic review of the council's land and property holdings. In February, a working party of councillors and senior officers was set up to examine the idea.
Since then, the working party has visited Chippenham, where North Wiltshire District Council has successfully made a similar move.
It decided to invite eight consultants to submit proposals for how the move should be carried out and where the new headquarters should be.
The submissions have to be in by Friday, June 28. They will then be assessed by the working party, which will report to the executive committee.
Council workers are currently based in four sites in Great Malvern - the Council House, Brunel House, Portland House and Highlea.
Several sites for a unified headquarters were mentioned in February, with the favourite being what is now the council depot (former gasworks) on the corner of Madresfield Road and Pickersleigh Road.
