COLWALL Thirds maintained their WCL title hopes with a five wicket win over their neighbours.
COLWALL III v
BARNARDS GREEN III
Barnards Green, having been put into bat, never looked like setting the home side a difficult target. With the exception of Brookes (45), they never mastered Colwall's bowling attack.
Making his debut for Colwall, 15-year-old Mark Henderson caused a lot of problems with his pace and shows great promise and removed Brookes with the help of Keith Holland's diving catch at gully. The latter demolished the rest of Barnards Green with an unbroken spell of 17.2 overs and finished with 7-54.
In reply Colwall had a few hiccups but skipper Richard Lewis (59no) held the innings together to see Colwall home after 28 overs at 123-5 collecting 20 points.
Colwall visit Bewdley tomorrow (Saturday) hoping to keep up their winning ways.
