Droitwich MP Peter Luff is calling on the Government to scrap AS exams.
He claims they reduce teaching time in the sixth form, squeeze-out extra-curricular subjects, reduce the value of the lower sixth and are not achieving a real broadening of the courses pursued by students.
The MP made his call in a Commons debate.
