KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will be jumping in at the deep end when they begin pre-season training on Monday, July 8.
Boss Ian Britton will adopt a similar schedule to previous manager Jan Molby and introduce early morning swimming sessions at Bromsgrove baths.
They will start at 8am followed by training stints later in the mornings and in the afternoons.
Britton said: "The players have got to be extremely fit and that's exactly what they will be."
Among those reporting back for training will be striker Ian Foster who has been handicapped by hamstring problems in the past.
He has now returned from a week's rehabilitation at Lilleshall where the injury was assessed. He also underwent physiotherapy.
"There's no problem with it," reports Britton, who is considering a number of options for when he steps up his preparations for Kidderminster's Nationwide League Third Division campaign which begins with a home clash against Lincoln City on Saturday, August 10.
He said: "With Richie Appleby going we need to strengthen the midfield and there is a young lad playing for a First Division club who we may be able to get on loan.
"He has played a few games in their first team. I have looked through the PFA lists and there are three or four names in mind.
"We can only bring in one player, or two at the very most and there's no point rushing into anything."
Britton plans to check out one or two trailists when training starts.
