SCOUTS and Cub Scouts from across Worcester did good deeds for Acorns Children's Hospice at their summer camp.
The camp at Blackwell Court, near Bromsgrove, brought together 180 Scouts, 230 Cub Scouts and 100 Beaver Scouts from the Worcester Scout District.
They combined fun with fund-raising as they took part in a range of events to raise money for the children's charity.
They held a street party on Saturday, June 15, and sold their camp badges, with 50p from each badge going to the charity.
The Worcester District has adopted Acorns as its charity for the year and has already raised money for the three counties fund-raising appeal through carol service collections, bring and buy sales, coffee afternoons and car washes.
"At the end of the 12 months, we hope to have raised quite a sum," said district commissioner Nigel Brooks.
"It's really encouraging to see young people being so positive and proactive to help other youngsters less fortunate than themselves."
