WORCESTERSHIRE race ace Matt Neal scored his second win of the season in the Green Flag British Touring Car Championship at Mondello Park in Ireland yesterday.
Neal, from Hanbury near Droitwich, won the sprint race in his Egg Sport Vauxhall Astra Coupe, taking advantage of a late engine problem forced Yvan Muller's works Vauxhall, who led for most of the race, to retire.
And a third place in the feature race keeps him second in the championship, four points behind leader James Thompson.
Neal admitted his second win of the season could not have come soon enough.
"I needed that," he said. "I seem to have won one race a year for the last few.
"After the first couple of laps on race one Yvan had just gone, so that was a bit of luck to see him parked up.
"But we've all had a bit of good luck and a bit of bad luck this season."
