WORCESTERSHIRE recorded a 62-shot victory over Leicestershire at Worcester Bowling Club in their latest Midland Counties match.
They took a maximum 22 points thanks to det-ermination and tenacity.
The County were 30 shots ahead after just five ends and gradually stretched their lead for the rest of the match.
Meanwhile, Worcestershire County Women's Bowling Association did well to beat Mid-Wales by 11 shots in a friendly at Gilt Edge, Kidderminster, having been behind several times.
Worcestershire CWBA also went out of the Johns Trophy with an 11-shot defeat against the Isle of Wight at Bracknell.
This was a disappointing result after a successful run in last year's competition.
