A WORCESTERSHIRE farmer will appear alongside some of the country's best-known chefs in the new RSPCA Freedom Food Celebrity Recipe Collection.
Phil Rogers, whose family owns Lightwood Cheese, in Cotheridge, near Worcester, submitted a recipe for cheese and onion tarts to the collection, which supports farm animal welfare.
Other contributors include Ainsley Harriott, Antony Worrall Thompson and Sophie Grigson.
"We have been members of Freedom Food for four years," said Mr Rogers.
"It is important for our business, not only because we care about the way we raise our animals but so we can reassure our customers that our products come from farms approved to higher welfare standards."
More than 5,000 supermarkets and independent shops stock a range of meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products carrying the distinctive blue and white Freedom Food label.
Freedom food is an independent, non-profit-making charity and the only farm assurance scheme dedicated to improving animal welfare standards.
