THE father of a Kidderminster schoolgirl who is believed to have run off with a man almost twice her age has admitted he is "worried sick" about her.
Police enquiries have moved to Weston-super-Mare where Stacey Dixon is believed to be staying with 27-year-old Ian Scott, known as "Jimmy".
The pair vanished on Tuesday, June 18, after Stacey, aged 15, told her parents she was going on a school trip.
Kidderminster police have joined forces with officers in Weston-super-Mare to find the couple, who are thought to be in a caravan in the Somerset seaside town.
Mr Scott, a decorator, became friends with Stacey's family after moving in with his parents next door after his divorce.
Stacey told her parents she was going on a geography field trip with Harry Cheshire Community High School. But when her father, Paul Dixon, 35, went to collect her he was told she had not turned up for school that day.
She was last seen sitting in a light grey Ford Escort, registration K418 DRD.
"We are worried sick and feel helpless," said Mr Dixon.
"Our little girl is out there with a man nearly twice her age."
Stacey is described as being around 5ft 4in tall, of slim build with brown eyes and waist-length, light mousey-brown, straight hair.
She was wearing a blue denim jacket with a grey hooded fleece and Reebok trainers.
Police said they are investigating Mr Scott's links with Weston-super-Mare, as he is known to have gone on caravan holidays there in the past.
"She was seen getting into his car outside the school," said a spokesman for West Mercia police.
"We are concerned for her safety as she is at an impressionable age."
Anyone who knows where Stacey is should contact police on 01562 820888 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
