GREAT Witley Operatic Society hopes to hit the high notes when it stages a charity concert for Acorns Children's Hospice Trust.
The evening, entitled Golden Memories, features songs and music performed by the society over the last 50 years and includes pieces by Gilbert and Sullivan, Ivor Novello and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.
"This is our Golden Jubilee year as well as the Queen's so we wanted to celebrate our musical history with a special concert reflecting our own history," said Robin Booth, from the society.
"We've always supported local good causes and, this year, wanted to help with fund-raising for Acorns' new children's hospice.
"The concert provides the opportunity to enjoy music of a very high standard and we hope the event will be a sellout success."
The concert is due to be held in Perrin's Hall, at Worcester Royal Grammar School, beginning at 7.30pm.
Tickets, costing £6, include refreshments and are available from the operatic society on 01905 28088 or Acorns on 01905 767676.
