KEMSPEY people angry about ongoing problems with their water supply will be able to quiz Severn Trent Water officers face to face tomorrow evening.
After weeks of complaints about undrinkable tap water, low pressure and flooding from a leaking water main, Kempsey Parish Council has decided to call a public meeting.
The village's troubles began at the beginning of May, when improvement works were carried out on behalf of Severn Trent.
A leak bubbled up at the corner of Brook End Lane and was initially referred to as the Jubilee Fountain, but the joke wore thin as residents tired of waiting for repairs, which were finally carried out last week.
In the meantime, pressure was poor and there were complaints of sandy deposits in the water, which damaged filters and ball valves in domestic appliances.
On Monday last week, landlord David Rigby had to close the kitchen at the Anchor Inn when the water turned black.
The meeting with representatives from Severn Trent Water will be held in the main hall at the Community Centre, starting at 7.30pm.
