REFERRING to the letter (You Say, June 17) from N K Chance headlined "Hills are dogs' toilet," I am fed up with hearing issues on the radio and reading articles in the paper regarding these "irresponsible" people who do let their dogs foul the pavements and countryside.
Let us not be so shortsighted. Do these "disgusting animals" also include cats which are constantly digging up gardens and also the dropouts who spit and throw fish and chip papers and take-away trays over our pavements and countryside?
I am tired of having to watch where I am stepping through our towns and cities. It is like a minefield at times. As a responsible dog owner I feel strongly that we should not generalise.
